Dramatic Sunset
I just had to share these pictures with you! I took them from the bedroom window on Sunday 8th December.
Sutton Scarsdale Hall
You can see from these pictures how grand the place must have been. The hall was bought by an American who shipped the interior back home and left the shell - what a shame. You can find out more information about the hall on Wikipedia
Sutton Scarsdale Hall
These pictures were taken at Sutton Scarsdale Hall near Bolsover. Even though it is just a shell now, it was very impressive. Imagine what it was like in its heyday.
The picture to the right is of Bolsover Castle.

Spunky
Thought I had better introduce the lodger. This is Spunky who decided he would adopt us and he has been with us for nearly a year now. He likes yoghurt and spicy things! never known a cat like him.
Working
Not been able to update my blog much as I have been working extra hours so Richard and I have had less time to get out and about. But when we do I will post something about it.

Remembrance Sunday at Duxford
On Remembrance Sunday we went to Duxford Air Museum, it is free to get in on this day the only thing they ask is that you wear a poppy, which was sadly lacking from a lot of visitors. We have been 3/4 years on the trot and always have a good day. This year we were hoping that a few more of the family was going to go but sadly Steve was ill and Andrew had band practice which he couldn't get out of. Here are a few photos from the day.

Queens Park and Rainbows
On Sunday Richard I went for a drive and ended up at Chesterfield, the weather was changeable but for the most part it was a gorgeous Autumn day. We went for a walk around Queens Park and fed the ducks, who were really hungry. Here are some photos Richard took and there was another triple rainbow, it comes out as a double on the photos but we concentrated on the middle and the third one would pop out and then disappear again.

Rainbows
On Sunday afternoon, we were going to the supermarket when we saw these amazing rainbows. These pictures do not do them justice as it was a double one, which I have never seen before. Richard thought he saw three rainbows but we could only capture the two and you can only just see the second one.

Breathtaking Sunset in Hampshire
These pictures were taken on our way back from Beaulieu, I thought the sunset was breathtaking. It always amazes me how beautiful they are, but this one has to be the best (up to now) for me

Avebury Stone Circle
The Avenue |
We didn't have to pay to walk around and we could get up close and personal.
The Wishing Trees |
The Devil's Chair |
These trees were beautiful and look like they had been there long before the stones.

Beaulieu
This Horse was waiting at the side of the road, we think wanting to cross over. I was dying to stroke him but I didn't fancy getting a nip.
This was Beaulieu and what a beautiful place, we got there late afternoon so there were not many visitors around which was perfect.
New Forest Ponies
These are wild ponies that live in the New Forest, they can often been seen walking through the streets and they have right of way. We had seen some of the ponies in a field but I really wanted to see them walking in the streets and I got my wish. They were fantastic but they can bite and kick so don't get too close.
